Robbie Scudder

Robbie Scudder started his photography career in Latrobe, Pennsylvania where he was attending St. Vincent College and majoring in Communications and playing on the soccer team. While at St. Vincent College Robbie was the lead sports photographer and also lead photographer for the school newspaper. During his time in Latrobe, Robbie had many pieces published in local newspapers including the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

During his summer back in Michigan, Robbie worked at the Herald Palladium as a freelance photographer shooting local sporting events, special events, and charity events. Much of his work was published in the Harald Palladium. Then returning to St. Vincent College for another soccer season and shooting for the school and the newspaper, Robbie continued on to grow as a talented young photographer. During this time in Latrobe, Robbie was contacted by Tennis Magazine to shoot two local tennis players for an article and had more work published in local newspapers.

Mid way through the school year Robbie transfered to Cornerstone University, in Grand Rapids, MI. to continue his communications degree and soccer career. While in Grand Rapids, Robbie has spent a lot of time consulting with a professional photographer named Brad Legg, of Brad Legg Photography. Brad has been a huge help and a mentor in Robbie's growing talents and has given Robbie professional advice.

Since moving to Grand Rapids, Robbie has spent time promoting Rooted Motion Photography by shooting sports photography for college sports players, senior portraits, and special events for businesses. Some of these businesses include, Two Turnips LLC., Weber's Ink, Round Barn Winery, and The Bistro.
